This exciting opportunity is based in the Barcelona area and if you’re the right fit for us, you’ll find yourself working as part of our dynamic international HR team. This is the perfect role for an experienced HR Generalist who has a really hands-on attitude, who loves to run a busy HR department while having an international HR team as peers abroad that you’ll work together with during projects and our yearly people lifecycle.

As the HR Generalist, you’ll report directly to the HR Manager of Scandinavia & Spain, while having a close connection with your stakeholder in the Spanish, Head of Retail. Together with the HR Assistant you will run the daily operations for around 130 -170 employees across Spain. Working as part of a Hunkemöller HR team, means not only being customer oriented but also focusing on creating a great place to work.

You'll share our passion for World Class Service and will lead by example with the Regional and Store Managers by being a true sparring partner. Furthermore, you will be a liaison with our external payroll & providers.

  • Alongside the HR Assistant, you will ensure that the daily HR operations are running smoothly and provide an HR World Class Service– from hiring over training & development until offboarding of our people.
  • You’ll be managing the administrative payroll process ensuring that all input is sent to our external payroll provider so our employees are getting paid on time.
  • You’ll be handeling the organizations legal matters; utilizing your strong knowledge regarding labor law to advise managers regarding legal and remuneration issues for your country as well as preparing any legal cases when required.
  • You will liaise with our external providers (Mutua, GDPR, etc), to ensure the HR department runs smoothly and all HR operational tasks are followed up while improving our employee centric culture.
  • Analysing & interpreting people relevant KPIs – in order for the operations to run smoothly whilst creating a great place to work.
  • You will work with different HR global programs, HR systems and HR standards such as Workday, Manus and Hunkemöller Online e-learning Academy, ensuring they run smoothly whilst working together with your international peers to improve and innovate them.
  • Working closely with your direct manager, HR Manager of Scandinavia & Spain (who’s based in our HQ in Copenhagen); as well as our international HR team on a variety of local and international projects whilst remaining focused on our commitment to being a truly social business.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • A minimum 3-5 years' experience as a HR Generalist or a similar role in a multisite business
  • Has a minimum of a Bachelor degree, preferably HR or related. Master in HR or Labor Law is a plus
  • Can deal with tight deadlines, targets and multiple priorities
  • Has experience in retail, hospitality or another service industry and is customer oriented
  • Has experience in working internationally (this is a definite 'plus').
  • Pro-active and works very independently
  • You have prior experience working with HR-systems such as Workday, SuccessFactor, SAP or related.
  • Due to the nature of the role, great skills in Microsoft Office (mainly Excel and PowerPoint) is a must.
